Dylan getting ready for surgery

It has been a hard morning, as we expected it to be. Dylan had his last meal at 1:30 am. He ate more than he has ever eaten....5 ounces of formula. He is normally around 3 ounces. What a tender mercy! He had a little bit of Pedialite at about 5:50 am and so by the time we got to the hospital he was hungry. Despite this though, we were able to keep him pretty calm. We waited for 40 minutes after we got him into his hospital gown and then they finally came in to whisk him away.

We are now waiting. It is just after 10:00 am now and we just got a page saying that they started on the operation.

{deep breaths}

  1. I was thinking and praying a lot about Dylan last night, hopping that everything will be OK today.
    Let us know whenever you can, our prayers will be with him throwout the day!

  2. Wow! What a time for you guys. You have been so blessed, but it is such a hard time too! Just the few times that we have had our children in surgery or NICU, it is def. NOT a fun experience. Sometimes kind of lonely. But just keep remembering that Heavenly Father is listening and is helping you through it all. :)
