Day 3

Dylan continues to progress a little every day. He is quite swollen today as a result of all of the fluid that he lost during the surgery and that they tried to replace the first day, as well as the many medications he is on right now. But hopefully the swelling will go down soon. If he does well today and tonight they are talking about taking him off of the respirator tomorrow. We are crossing our fingers for that. Once he starts breathing on his own, a lot of the tubes and wires and IVs will start to disappear. So that will be a big milestone for him. He will be able to wake up, eat on his own and we'll be able to hold him.

Hopefully it will happen soon!

  4. Oh Jenn, It's got to be so difficult going through this. Make sure you get plenty of rest and food for yourself as well so you can be strong when he comes home. The sun will start shining through those clouds soon. Love you guys!
