Update

From the lack of updates recently, you could probably guess that things have been pretty uneventful around here as far as the world of medicine goes. It's been great! Dylan continues to grow, and we will know his current weight this week with his two doctor appointments. We still do not have a surgery date, and we're hoping to follow up on that with Dylan's cardiologist this week.

Dylan is almost 14 weeks old, but he doesn't act that old. I think he is tracking closer to his due date developmentally. Dylan is becoming very alert, and loves to interact with people. Of course his siblings love to hang out with him too.

And he has really started to smile at us this past week, finally! It's so cute, and is very hard to catch on camera too. Here's my best effort so far: the half smile.

Finally, we have been enjoying a new level of freedom this past week. The weather has been so nice and germs seem to be less prevalent now. Breakouts of RSV and flu viruses are down. We were planning to keep Dylan at home until May, but decided to get out a couple of weeks early. Justin gave a wonderful talk at church last Sunday and I didn't want to miss it! So Dylan made his first appearance at church and we were able to go as a whole family for the first time and stay for all three hours. It was wonderful! We are very careful with him and always have hand sanitizer on hand, but it is so nice to be able to get out and about a little bit more now. Just having the option is very liberating!

We will update with Dylan's current weight and any new findings/information we get at his doctor appointments this week.
