We had a double cardiology appointment today. It was Weston's turn to go in with Dylan and the two boys got their tickers checked out. Hard to believe it's already been a year since Dylan's last appointment!
We love our doctor! She's just the best. The boys loved getting to listen to their hearts today.
They both got an echo done, which they were excited about because they got to watch a movie. Echos used to be very scary and stressful. I'm so glad that we are past that stage with both of these boys.
Trying to pass the time...
Their version of a silly face
Here are the boys getting their EKG. This is another procedure that used to strike fear into the hearts of especially Dylan. No tears this time!
We got good news today! Weston's VSD has officially closed up, and that means that this is his last trip to see a cardiologist! I thought that once you pass year 2 or 3, the likelihood of a VSD closing on its own goes way down, so this was very unexpected. But we are grateful! His heart is 100% normal now.
Dylan also got good news today. His heart is holding pretty steady. The backflow of blood that he has continues to be there, but it is not getting bigger, which means that he can continue to do his normal activities and live the next year of his life without meds or restrictions. This is great news!
Dylan is playing his first year of soccer on a team and is loving every minute of it, so I am thankful that he can continue.
Another year of blessings!
